When we think about constructing our investment portfolios, it’s important for us to keep a global perspective. What does that mean? It means that when we’re picking out companies to invest in in our portfolio, we want to be mindful of not only where they’re located, but also where they’re earning revenue from.
Let me give you an example of what that means. You can have a company that’s domiciled or located in Ireland who earns all of its revenue here in the United States. And to the flip side, you can have a company who’s located here in the US, but earns all of its revenue internationally.
The global population has a lot of spending power, and there’s specialties that happen in different areas of the marketplace, and so we want to be mindful of that when we’re looking at our portfolio, and look at our global perspective through multiple different lenses.
